How to make peace with going bald
If you realize that your hairloss is inevitable and you are going bald, this is for you.

Please keep in mind that these directives are not dogmatic and not set in stone. They are, however, contextual at times.
This article is the second part of my article series on hair loss. It deals with how to make peace with going bald irreversibly.
The first part covers the things you can do if hair loss has started, but you have not gone completely bald yet: Evidence-based tips for hair loss.
These tips might help
- Once you realize that you go bald, save yourself the hassle and just shave it off. Take the plunge, like the gentleman in the picture above.
- If you need to, go through the five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Maybe you'll try to hide the bald spot. It's OK. A lot of other people have gone through this and we feel your pain. It's not easy, but once you accept and come to terms with it, you may grow to love your new look.
- Being bald looks sharp and clean. It's also the most practical and hassle free haircut in the world. Bald men are perceived to be more dominant. [1]
- Don't do the comb-over thing. Just don't. Keep your dignity and just shave it off. Liberate yourself. Own it. Don't overthink it.
- Use an electrical razor and you're good to go.
- Consider growing a beard, if you can.
- If you like a clean look, get a twinshaver. It lets you shave your head quick and easy in the shower.
